Sample Mumford and Sons' Song and Wiz Khalifa

By Reta Mantyla

Spring Break is generally considered that part of the year when college going students try out new things. While Wiz Khalifa maybe a bit too old for being considered a college kid , he still is looking to try new things in the approaching spring season . The lanky rapper is scheduled to appear on today MTV's Spring Break 2011 along with new pal and veteran of the game Snoop Dogg, Kick Push-singer Lupe Fiasco and Pitbull, and while speaking out about that program with MTV, Wiz revealed that he has new stuff on his mind .

"Whose Music he would want to Sample in his song", in the response of this question Khalifa instantly replied 'Mumford & Sons.' He said that one of their songs is 'really tight' and if everything comes together then he would like to sample their music tone and rap over it real nice. Although he couldn't remember the name of the song he did express his likeness for that one unidentified song by saying, "When I see the video or hear the song, I get it real quick." Wiz explained that the real reason why he is attracted to Mumford & Sons' music is their use of different kinds of musical instruments, such as bongos etc.

Wiz performed in Las Vegas with his long-time DJ supporting him up, but he said that he would like to be backed by Disco Biscuits if he ever gets serious about performing with a live musical team.

The Pittsburgh MC said that Disco Biscuits sound is hard and when he hears it generates a certain kind of vibe and feeling that turns him on.

Widely tipped as one of the artists to lookout for in 2011, Wiz is set to start his attempt of fulfilling the faith shown in him with the release of his first album Rolling Papers, which is programmed to hit the stores all across the country tomorrow (March 29).

In a talk last month, Wiz had indicated about the possibility of a few surprises and unexpected things in his debut LP, which he believes will keep the people interested. He had also revealed that the album is close to getting finished and the whole team behind the project is excited to finally put it out there. The weed loving MC said that Warner Music Group executive Lyor Cohen had heard a session of the studio version, and he too was very impressed.

Wiz believes that the amount of effort put and the promise shown by the musical experts that have assisted him, means that the public is sure to give him love when he drops the full thing this coming Tuesday.
