Stuff You Should Distinguish About NYC Nightlife

By Jenee Leng

When it comes to the nightlife no other city sticks out more than New York, and it is within the lower two thirds of Manhattan where the good stuff are ordinarily found, which is a lot like other attractions. In areas where there are not a lot of hostels and hotels is where the better night life in NYC takes place, and there are numerous taxis and they can fly around the city about 9 p.m., so partying in another place while residing in another usually isn't a problem. When it comes to subways the danger involved is not that great, because subways also function all night long and they are normally full of plenty of people late at night.

Night Clubs in NYC

Where most of the NY night spots are located are in the western section of Chelsea on 27th Street and the areas around it, but there are a number of different nightspots in various areas of town. A lot of the places you would call a nightclub are situated downtown, mostly in and around Greenwich Village. There are several valuable places just across the river in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and there's plenty of bars that occasionally serve as little night spots in the East Village.

It's almost everyday that the nightclub scene in NY changes so the information above is not of much help. Places that are popular today, shut down just a couple months later. Due to things like drug offenses even some of the stalwarts that have been operating for a long time have been experiencing some trouble as of late.

Lounges in NYC

The lounges within New York City are able to stay open right up until 4 a.m. every single morning, but more than a few close between 1 and 2 a.m., at the very least on weeknights. The little lounges that spread out in and around the different boroughs like Queens, Manhattan, and Brooklyn are one of the things that makes New York nightlife so wonderful. This makes it simple to take a look at one spot and if it's way too congested, too empty, or playing songs you hate, you can simply walk back out and be in the following place just a minute or two afterwards.

Nightlife Neighborhoods - Your Quick Guide

Hell's Kitchen - In the previous decade or two this town with the frightening name just west of Times Square has developed nicely, and famous New York lounges and some bars are everywhere in 9th and 10th Avenues.

Chelsea - As already mentioned, this area is where the majority of "mega-clubs' in the city are located even though the lineup switches up each week or so. There are many great lounges all around the rest of the area - some completely new, and some really old. There are also gay bars situated in this area.

Greenwich Village - New York University rules the middle part of this huge "village" area, which indicates there are plenty of bars normally filled with individuals that are hardly legal to drink alcoholic beverages. A strip of bars are located on Bleeker Street - some have live music or comedy - but these are usually packed with bridges, tourists, and tunnel types. Commonly, the further you travel east the more intriguing this area will be.

East Village - There's no doubt that this is the best drinking neighborhood around the city, and this is especially true if you consider its eastern section, also named Alphabet City. There are a lot of bars on pretty much every corner when you reach east of 2nd Avenue. The subway is far from being the most conventional way to reach this area, but walking a few extra blocks is worth it. On every single block Avenue A and Avenue B have a great deal of places, so it's possible to do a long pub hop in this area by simply going a hundred yards or so.

Lower East Side - This place is regarded as a little East Village, as it is a small neighborhood positioned south of Houston and East of 1st Avenue. The same wild vibe is what it has, but it's more trendy and more hipster oriented. There are a few live music bars located in the area, and people can get crazy and wild on Saturdays and Sundays.

Williamsburg, Brooklyn - During the past 10 years this area has transformed into a reputable destination, and there are plenty of interesting places. Many people leave from Manhattan to get their party on in Brooklyn, rather than the other way around.
