By Jessica Gray

Dogs offer more than just companionship. Actually, there are many reasons why they won the hearts of many animal lovers. Aside from being intelligent, they also sweet, affectionate, and easy to train. They are great pets because of their compassion and playful traits. Usually, getting a new pet gives the whole family more than just unconditional love that you never think.

But bear in mind that acquiring a new pet is a commitment as long as you live. Once you have made up your mind to acquire a new pet at home, there are many breeds out there to choose from which you can choose. Basically, The Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are one of those popular breeds that pet owners prefer to have. It becomes one popular breed because of their unique features.

The good news is that Cavaliers love to be surrounded by humans and hate it when they are left alone for longer periods of time. Moreover, they make good companions for people who like to walk with them every day and prepare a yard for them to run and chase. Their temperament, energy levels, and trainability make them a perfect option for animal lovers.

Spaniels are often called as sporting breed toys due to the combination of their spaniel and toy traits. Though they love cuddling and a sweet tempered breed, they mostly have athletic instincts. Indeed, they are good runners and chasers. A fenced loan is also necessary because they love pursuing other animals and even butterflies into the streets.

Like any other breeds, Cavaliers need an amount of exercise every day. And remember, these breeds are people oriented. They often get stressed when left alone for so long and should have good companionship either other pets or humans on a day to day basis. If left alone, they always bark and even chew or whine destructively.

Fortunately, Cavaliers can get along with other animals and even humans. But like other animals, they tend to have timidity, therefore, puppies need to be socialized at early ages to boost their confidence and outgoing temperament. So, if you really want their traits, then it is right for you.

But for those who do not want to work with timidity, shyness, and separation anxiety traits, then this is not for you. Basically, avoiding dogs with negative traits can be avoided by considering some factors. It would be best to choose a reputable breeder to find a good pup. If you opt to acquire one from animal shelters, be sure to choose an adult dog who has proven that he does not possess any negative traits.

It is always vital to give them a proper training to gain respect from them. Actually, one huge problem with Cavaliers today is their health condition. The usual health issues may include ear infections, skin allergies, and valve degeneration which basically leads to heart failure. Thus, choose a puppy properly.

If you are searching for charming companions in this community, you should consider Cavaliers. This is because they are easy to training and affectionate. Although raising one is not an easy job, but with dedication and commitment, you can surely raise a good dog in the future.
