These days, more and more musicians are emerging from their hiding place and releasing music that people can listen to and enjoy. As more are contributing to the ever growing industry, genres are defined and redefined countless times, often developing new styles or developing old ones into a more modern context. Nevertheless, some styles are timeless and continue to be of much relevance today.

A genre that has been around since the late nineteenth century is defined by its unique sound and use of blues and ragtime elements. It was first crated by various musicians who belonged to the African American community based in New Orleans, but is universally enjoyed and performed by artists worldwide. In relation with this, stated below are some fascinating details on the Chuck Pafenbach trio.

Evidenced by its name, the band consists of only three permanent members. The first one is Jeff Hellmer, who is responsible for playing the piano. His life outside the band consists of him being a professor at the University of Texas. Furthermore, he is known to be the director of Jazz studies and is also a director for the local orchestra at school. Although he has not won any awards, he has been a two time finalist at various piano competitions in the United States. In his solo work, he released an album titled Peak Moments.

The bass player is named John Fregmen, who also has a teaching career at the University of Texas. He is known to be an associate professor and teaches how to play the bass and improvising while playing the instrument. The David Letterman show actually had him as a guest in one episode and his work has been featured on numerous American sitcoms and movies. As a solo artist, he has released four studio albums, one of which is titled Pieces of String.

The person who the band is named after is Chuck, who is the ring leader and founder of this particular band. He is the drummer and is the one responsible for bringing the band together way back in two thousand. This drummer is also a staff member of the same school and has appeared numerous times on the top drummers list of various Austin based music publications. In the course of his career, he has produced eight studio albums, including one called World Beat.

Their first work was released in two thousand two, during the year they came together to create music. It was recorded at the famous Bismeaux studio located in Austin, Texas. It contained only three songs and was appropriately titled Introducing. The three titles were all covers of famous songs, most notably a good rendition of Bye Bye Blackbird, originally performed by Ray Henderson was included.

In two thousand five, High Life was released and contained ten songs, all of which were covers of popular and classic singles from past generations. Its first track was Saint Thomas, which was performed originally by Sonny Rollins. Sam Seifert is the person responsible for its smooth production and Ann Pinion is the artist who designed its album cover.

Jazz Dance is most notable for its use of La Danse by an artist called Henri Matisse. Ann Pinion is responsible for choosing the art, who has stated that she believed the painting fully captured the essence of this album. All the tracks were recorded at the Bismeaux, a popular studio in Austin. A remarkable rendition is Moon Dance, originally performed by Van Morrison.

The latest released compilation was in two thousand eleven and would be the eighth release by the trio. Titled World Beat, it contained nine singles, all of which were covers once again. Will Harrison is a notable contributor here in terms of production and the art was created by Jose Mata. Tune Up by Miles Davis would be the seventh track on album.
