New Heavy Metal Music With Demonic Riffs

By Lisa West

Belphegor is a band out of Australia that many people have heard of because of their eleven albums that have attained widespread success. They have figured out exactly what makes a great song in this genre and they know exactly how to please their fans. The new heavy metal music that comes from this band, including their song "Apophis - Black Dragon", has all of the violent melodies, blasts of sound, and turbulent rhythms that they have become known for.

When songs in this genre have a powerful message behind them that is relevant to society when the record is dropped, the impact can be huge. There is no better way to get people to understand and believe in a certain important issue because these songs make their listeners feel passionate and energetic, and showcases powerful vocals. Body Count's hit track "No Lives Matter" brings the cold, hard facts about a very important issue to the main stage through Ice-T's frustrated and on-point vocals.

Jeremy Wagner from the band Broken hope knew that the album Mutilated and Assimilated was going to be very special. This was because he has just purchased some of the guitars that Jeff Hanneman from Slayer used to play. He used these guitars to record the entire album, and one of the best tracks on it is certainly "The Carrion Eaters".

For a disgusting album that is absolutely horrible in the best possible way, look no further than Forever by Code Orange. The absolute insanity of the title track is enough to create chaos anywhere that it is played. The song takes many different unexpected turns, making it a conceptual journey.

Nothing is better than when a band really finds a way to capture its beloved sound again after it may have left them for a number of years, or for them to find an all-new sound entirely that works for them and their audience. This is how the band DragonForce finds itself on their album Reaching into Infinity. It's hard not to feel triumphant when listening to "Ashes of the Dawn".

People who spend a lot of time in the mosh pit are probably big fans of Dying Fetus. Their song "Die With Integrity" is great to move around to and physically express one's self. This song feels fresh and new while at the same time making callbacks on some of the styles from previous decades.

Norway is home to some of the darkest, most hardcore bands that have ever existed on this Earth. One of these bands is Enslaved, and they bring elements of Viking living in with a more ritualistic side as well. "Storm Son" is a song that was produced with incredible attention to detail to maximize its barbaric impact.

"F--ck This Place" is an example of how singer Blothar was able to fully make his own way as the new frontman for the band GWAR. It can sometimes be impossible for an established, well-known band to replace distinct bandmembers because fans just can't imagine the band without them. Luckily, Blothar commands the material that Oderus Urungus once sang with power and flair.
