Daddy Yankee - Prime Latin American Music Singer

In 2006 the music album King of Kings introduced by Don Omar beat out Daddy Yankee and his own studio album Barrio Fino En Directo which first showed at number seventy four whereas the King of Kings album debuted as the highest debut Latin American album at number 7. Reggaeton was slow to be recognized by the non-Hispanic cultures of the US and Europe until 2004 when Reggaeton became a cross-over year with this style of songs. El Cangri from Yankee's album became well-liked in these other nations and began to be played in the various areas by non-Hispanic listeners.

Controversial Reggaeton

However there was plenty of disputes concerning Reggaeton because it utilized explicit language. It was actually named Underground as it had to be underground being released in local garages and dispersed on the sly. In the year 2004 the album Nina Sky single hit Oye Mi Canto introduced by a New York rap artist by the name of N.O.R.E. featured well respected Reggaeton artists Yankee and Tego Calderon. Yankee lastly made it to United States and Europe with his single Gasolina, in 2004

Background

Daddy Yankee was born in 1977. He's also called El Jefe and El Cangri. He was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and named Ramon Luis Ayala Rodriguez. He is a Latin Grammy Award winning Reggaeton singer. As he was maturing he was engaged and involved with the underground Reggaeton music revolution taking place in his own country Puerto Rico. He soon started to copy the types of more traditional rap like DJ Goldy and DJ Playero. His first presence was with DJ Playero in a 1992 production Playero 37 yet went on to create his very own rhythm and style and has become among the first music artists to be a performed of Reggaeton.

Albums And Songs

His 1st solo album released was No Mercy and then he formed a duo with Nicky Jam. He then went solo again with the release of records El Cartell and El Cartell II then he became to be recognized as one of the Reggaeton pioneers and was sometimes called Papi Vaguero. In 2002 his music El Cangri.com became globally recognized and was regarded as his 1st commercial success in the world outside of Hispanic music listeners. He has also a small commercial advertising career like participating in advertising for Reebok and Pepsi.
