Are People Destroying Their Wedding Videos With In The Moment Songs?

By Paul Joyce

Nobody puts copyrighted music on their wedding videos, because that's illegal. Yeah right! Everybody puts copyright music on their wedding video, and many pick the current flavours which have been chart successful. The trouble is what sounds excellent now may be entirely indecorous in one or two decades.

What's worse now is that everybody is enamoured by pumped up tunes like Black Eyed Peas I Gotta feeling. But the 1st problem is where do you stick this on in a wedding video and does it's fast moving tempo suit the mood?

Wedding video corporations are too occupied and under too much pressure to get the final edit out to carefully edit your wedding video to the beat and rhythm of each song. But the greatest difference between most films and wedding videos are, is that almost all of the music is composed specially for the film.

Not every song suits your particular wedding video. In a few decades you could be bored with the songs and they could ruin a beautiful scene in your wedding film. One or two wedding videographers supply a music composition but many are terribly cheesy and sound like they are made on a cheap Casio keyboard. At least they attempted.

Most modern pop songs are about in the club, and if you opt for the cheesy Bruno mars song Marry Me will you blame the lyrics in it for your divorce in 20 years time as ite says "let's do something dumb tonight "let's get married "if we break up I will not blame you". Not surprising so many relationships are cursed nowadays, folks need everything in the moment and don't make an effort to build foundations or overcome hindrances.

You can not go wrong with classical music, classic soul or classis 60's or 80's songs. Songs that have passed the test of time will never date.
