Making Your Own House Music Blog: Creating A New World

By Sheena Hernandez

The mayor of Chicago, Richard M. Daley made August 10, 2005 the official they where everyone celebrate the house music day. Before you build your own house music blog, you should know the history and importance of this genre. Since the early days, this type of genre was always used to play in different parties, clubs, bars, lounges and many more.

There are different kinds of beats for this genre and each have their own unique style. They are the electro, diva, acid, Chicago, french, deep, ghetto, freestyle, italo, funky, hip, hardbag, Latin, rave, minimal, tech, US garage, UK hard, tribal, swing and vocal.

This genre uses different kinds of instruments and devices to create dance beats. Using a personal computer, turntable, sampler, drum machine, sequencer and synthesizer are the basic things used by the disk jockeys. The electronic instrument that imitates drums or percussion is called the drum machine.

Sampler on the other hand is like a synthesizer but this device generates recorded sounds uploaded by the user. The turntable was the easiest to remember because it was always used by the DJs. The disc was either scratched or grooved while rotating to produce different sounds.

Use the music sequencer to record a sound, edit it then playing it in the form of digital audio. A synthesizer is a tool used to make different signals from frequencies. This tool appears to be like a piano or keyboard type and it has many switches and buttons.

Having a blog that is interesting at the beginning will invite everyone to check on the content. Try to create a nice home page like a moving page or something like a club. You must be responsible in all of your actions and everything you will put in it must have a disclaimer or a credit if you do not own the information. Also put a section where the viewers can check the biographies of well known disc jockeys.
