There is no such thing as a shortcut for learning how to play the guitar. That doesn't mean that you can't learn to play it, so long as you use certain methods you should be able to pick it up quickly. Just don't expect to be a natural-born genius that tries to play one time and then you're a pro.

Surely you can imagine, to properly play the guitar, you will get plenty of practice. The most famous of guitarists took time to learn. In order to be a true professional, you will need discipline, practice and patience.

You can bank on this: that if you know of a great guitarist, such as a rock star or some famous musician, they have put countless hours of practice in. Once you become good at it, you will find that you have more to learn.

When you feel more confident as a player, you will be motivated to keep pressing on an keep practicing. When you do it this way, you will be fulfilled in your lessons, and you will be able to quickly play your first song.
