Sony Earphones - Rf Wireless Headphones Review

By Sophia Martinez

On the other hand, if the earphone charging station and transmitter were separated, I guess they might both need AC power, which would increase the cost of the unit. There is also a split-second delay between the time you hear something on the TV speakers, and the time you hear the same thing on the headphones. The ONLY thing they need is a remote, as the control buttons are too close together making adjustments difficult while on your head. They are very comfortable and can be worn for extended lengths of time.

It has completely worthless buttons on the side that are too small and flat and unusable while you are wearing. You have to take off the phones to adjust volume, etc.

The range is excellent too - works everywhere in my 1,300 square foot apartment and in the hallway too (when I go to take garbage out for instance). What I do agree with is that the control buttons are pain to use. Whether it is much better than the 130's is a perception thing since I can't at the same time be hearing both. If I had found an issue with the sound quality of the 130's, then the 180's would have solved it. First let me tell you the good things. Yes, the quality of the sound is excellent. Finally someone delivers and stands up to all the promises. After opening the box I was quite pleased with the build quality and color.

He has done a disservice to his company, in my opinion. In conclusion, you won't be disappointed with the quality of sound and comfort of the 180's -- top notch. I have read almost all of the reviews prior to buying this product. I have used a "FEW" electronic products in my 53 years of being in the electronics industry.

For active applications such as gaming or playing an instrument, however, these are out of the question. I am sure I have not even explored all this headphone set can do.

For our installation, at least, it was an annoyance to have the charger integrated with the transmitter. The transmitter has to be physically tied to the TV sound source with a cable, which limits your choices for where to plug in the charging station. They are on the expensive side, but I'm pleased with them. I'd recommend them for anyone looking for wireless headphones in this price range.

Since it cannot process the lossless codecs via bit stream, everything was fed to it as PCM. This caused the receiver to automatically apply its own processing (aptly named Headphone 2CH). This is one of those right at the top. Sound is SUPERIOR to my new 42 LED/LCD TV.
