Steps To Make Your White Couch Dirt Free

Are you annoyed seeing your sofa so untidy? Or is your white sofa turning into something gloomy and depressing? Nobody wants to see a white sofa that is not white at all. It is so unpleasant to the eyes when we see sofas that are dirty and grimy. But, how do you keep your white sofa clean? Here are some ways to keep your white sofa free from dirt.

The first thing you need to do is to use remove all the cushions or pillows on your sofa. Then use the vacuum cleaner to remove dust and other dirt from your sofa. Vacuum carefully all the edges and flat surface of your sofa. Vacuuming will prevent staining your sofa during cleaning.

Wine, soda and coffee are the usual things that are pilled over the sofa unintentionally. To remove these liquids, use a dry cloth to eliminate them. However, if powdery substances are spilled on the sofa, use a moisten cloth to remove every residue there is.

Many home cleaning substances can remove blemishes on your couch. Baking soda can remove stains caused by wine, coffee or soda. Red wine that is recently spilled can be detached from your sofa by using salt. Cornstarch is usually used to remove marks caused oil, grease or any form of lubricants.

Homemade foam cleaners are used to clean white sofas. In making foam cleaner, mix half-cup detergent powder with ? cup of water. Mix them together by using a mixer until a paste-like foam is formed. If the paste if too watery, then add a little more of detergent powder. If is too sticky, add a little water. Use white detergent powder, as much as possible, on your white sofa.

Get a clean rag and put on your foam cleaner on it. Begin with wiping one side of the sofa, about 2 feet part. Then, wash the part with another damp cloth that is clean. Do the same procedure on the rest of the sofa. It will also make your sofa smell nicely other than just removing the marks.

Never let your sofa contact any dirt when still wet or you might find yourself cleaning the whole sofa over again. It usually takes 48 hours in order to dry your sofa totally. Vacuum again the sofa only if it is completely dry. It is improper to vacuum your sofa when it is still wet because you may unintentionally get your sofa dirty again.

In order to prevent additional damage to the sofa, use only soft cloth. These rough rags may cause scratch marks on your sofa permanently. Never use any strong detergent to avoid any discoloration or they may harm the clothing material of your white sofa. Additionally, slightly scrub your sofa in able to prevent scratches.

No doubt that cleaning a sofa is not an easy job, especially a white one. It takes a lot of patience and hard work to produce a clean sofa. However, seeing a dirt-free and spotless white sofa is refreshing and looks wonderful to the eyes.
