The band played rock, salsa and jazz fusion which then made them famous. He has once been inducted to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. He has his own style of playing wherein his melodic, blues-based guitar lines set against Latin and African rhythms featuring percussion instruments like. He has won 10 Grammy Awards and 3 Latin Grammy Awards.
