Grinding Dance Concepts Intended For Newcomers

By Kimberly Meleski

Have you been getting hooked on the hottest craze to hit the dance floor. You know the one. The grinding dance craze. You may already have tried this style of dance, and if you have you'll know the importance of getting it right to save yourself from a red face moment.

Having said that you might want to consider looking over some grinding dance tips. This way you can plan you're moves in advance and avoid looking kind of silly.

A common mistake folks make is thinking that the purpose of getting some grinding dance maneuver going is a great pick up method. It's presumed to be a simpler method of engaging with a girl. Probably used if someone doesn't feel their chat up lines are up to scratch.

A recurring problem guys have that will lead to both frustration and embarrassment.

The trouble here is that the grinding style of dance is among one of the most intimate dance styles there is. In fact it's often couples that dance this way. Although, not every girl will enjoy this style of dance is it does get a bit too up close and personal for their liking.

This is a fairly simple step you can take to initiate the grind dancing style. It's a move that lets you move in gently for this style of dancing without your dancing partner feeling uneasy about it.

Speaking of that, this is always a thing to bear in mind about grinding dance moves. The entire focus is geared towards the hips and moving to the rhythm of the beat.

By focusing on the hips alone, instead of footwork, you'll be able to move to the beat of the music without destroying the mood by toe stepping sort of thing.

Anyhow, in order to gently ease into a grinding dance routine with a girl, (remember not all girls like this style of dance), you'll want to find out if it's ok to go on. To find this out, without putting a girl in an uncomfortable position...here's how to go about it.

Start dancing in front of the girl you're interested in first. Never go straight behind a girl and start grind dancing with her. Find out if she's comfortable first. Face to face is where to start. Then take her right hand in yours so you can do this next move. The next part is where you twirl her in a ballroom style sort of fashion. Always with elegance.

Now that you have her hand, give her a gentle twirl. Just like a ballroom couple would do. The idea is not to have her spin right round but to move in when she's done a half twirl.

Now she's going to have her back to you. From here you'll know if she likes this dance as she'll start to grind dance with you rather than get all flustered at the idea.

Just by initiating that little spin move is all it takes to find out if a grinding style of dance moves are ok with her.

What tends to happen with this approach is that because your dance partner will now be in front of you since you did give her that little spin, by taking her by the hand and leading, she will now have her arms crossed. A comforting position. Right to left of her waist and vice-versa. A sort of hugging position.

This kind of position is known to create a level of comfort.

At this point, keeping hand contact as well, start to ease into the grinding dance style. Emphasis on the hips, merely moving rhythmically to the beat and keeping in tandem with your dance partner too.

If you start to sense discomfort you can just as easily break out of the grinding dance position as easily as you initiated it.

This is done similar to the spin you used to begin with. Only reversing it this time. The other way to do this is to let go of the hand contact and gently take her by the shoulders to initiate the same sort of spin so she'll be face to face with you again.

By using this method you can easily avoid generating any sort of feeling of unease between you both.
