Fantastic Headphones For Under $25 - Rf Wireless Headphones Review

By Samuel Thomas

This is a complaint I've had in other headphones that either didn't have enough padding in the headband, or the ear cups, or were not adjustable enough. Perfectly surrounds your ears (as opposed to 'open-air' which press against your ears), and the headband is thickly padded.

I would have preferred to have a nice manufacturer booklet. The packaging was so secure that it took me some time to actually get into the box.

There's no hiss or background noise thanks to the KLEER technology. And the sound is as good as the Sennheiser HD595 they replaced. In almost every respect, these Sennheiser RS 180 Digital Wireless Headphones are excellent: - The good experience starts with the packaging. The main box, the two inner boxes and the inner plastic container are very well designed and built like tanks. I bought and returned two other pairs of wireless headphones in the sub-$200 price range before springing for these, and simply put they are worth the extra money. There's no interference, the sound quality is excellent throughout the range and the hiss that plagues most other wireless headphones doesn't exist. The sound quality is nice, they handle bass without breaking a sweat, and lighter notes as well. There's silence where silence is to be expected; if there's hissing present in what you're listening to, you'll hear that as well.

But, again, the range is generally fine for my purposes. Fourth, the headphones are really comfortable, and in my opinion, the headphones and base look handsome and cool.

I bought it as a birthday present for my husband. It came nicely packaged. This is simply not true, and I don't know why he told me this. This is not a negative about the 180's since maybe nobody is looking for this feature except me, but it is a severe mis-statement of fact by a Sennheiser representative.

I found that the bass had a decent punch, and was very clean. Past headphones I've used tend to have a muddy/blurry bass compared with the RS180.

I haven't encountered any interference to the headphone system caused by other appliances (wireless telephones and Wi-Fi) in my house. Nor have I encountered any interference to the other appliances caused by the headphone system. The Sennheiser RS 180 Headphones exceeded all of my requirements. There is ample room for over the ear hearing aids in the muffs if you need additional sound clarification and tweaking, but the sound quality is so great you don't really need them. I find having the base besides the TV flashing at me all the time even more annoying than the complete idiocy of buttons that you can't feel. This is utterly ridiculous engineering.
