Works Great - Custom Headphones Review

By Allison Hughes

When I decided on the RS-180 I bought it from J & R because their customer service is outstanding. The DVD product guide estimated an initial charge of up to 16 hours, but mine was ready for blastoff in about 7. But, again, the range is generally fine for my purposes. Fourth, the headphones are really comfortable, and in my opinion, the headphones and base look handsome and cool.

Thanks Amazon for offering quality with great pricing. The design of earphone is so unique that I have not seen before. I guess with practice this can be overcome, with no much frustration. Set-up was easy; just follow the directions. I have only two issues with this headset. The range of operation is not what I thought it should be. I was immediately blown away, swept into a cinematic oasis, a sound panorama that disintegrated any assumptions about how a movie should leave a lasting impression! They are exceptionally comfortable and well worth the price, and you will not be disappointed! I couldn't find them in Canada so purchased them in the US for $254. The suggested retail in Canada on the Sennheiser site is $499. Even better, when listening through these, I don't lose the voices in the music (as happens through my television speakers). But, then again, I live in Florida.

You will hear bullets in front of you, behind you, and to your right. They are great headphones and no regrets. I had original purchased the Sennheiser RS120 but wasn't thrilled with the lack of bass, volume levels and interference issues. Remember this: escape is not a luxury; it is a necessity if you want to get an advanced degree in sound and mind travel. Now get out and buy these phones!

I picked these up for a Christmas present for myself after researching wireless headphones online. My partner can't stand hearing gun shots & zombie screams coming from the living room. The buttons are very small, close together; and insufficiently raised above the background. With practice, however, I've learned to use all of them without having to remove the headset. The ONLY thing they need is a remote, as the control buttons are too close together making adjustments difficult while on your head. They are very comfortable and can be worn for extended lengths of time.

I had some reservations on these after reading some of the reviews saying that they are small or snug, because I have a ginormous head. My hat size is about 8 1/8, and I'm 6'8 so I'm just a large person in general.
