Great Earphone Does Not Block Noise That Nicely - Infrared Wireless Headphones Review

By Joshua Henderson

Sennheiser RS 180 Digital Wireless Headphone RS 180 has a brilliant sound quality compatible to high end professional, wired system. Comfortable fit for prolong usage. That song being the wonderful Nature Boy by Nenna Freelon. I know this is cliched, but I literally heard notes that I never heard before.

My previous set of headphones was a wired set of Grado SR-60s, and these sound every bit as good to me - but wireless! Indoor range seems to be about 60 feet through 5 or 6 walls. Also, the cans sounded too mellow at first, but they sound much more neutral now. It is still rather on the "warm" side, but I would say only to a pleasant degree to my ears.

I found the set-up to be extremely easy. I have found the buttons to be fairly easy to get used to but adjusting the volume required a bit of thought at first. This feels like a silly oversight from the design team! I would easily recommend these and would buy them again in a heartbeat!

Here's a quick review for you. The quality is absolutely great, and the range is incredible. This is where the warm fuzzies of these headphones really paid off. In this casual close-mic setting I felt as if I was actually there & had to resist the urge several times to turn around & "see" the rest of the crowd. I use these for watching TV when my wife has gone to bed or play my video game when so she can listen to the radio and we don't compete with each other for sound. I have to say the sound quality is there. So, I'm very happy to rate these headphones at an Excellent 5 stars out of 5. It took me a long time to pull the trigger on these headphones, but believe me it was well worth the money. They just take some getting used to. All things considered, I highly recommend them. I was excited about this alone, but I also learned that the volume controls are flat and therefore will not accidentally change as per my first point made above. Here's what I found about the 180's after one day of use. 6 months later - update Takes some pretty fancy technology to really impress me these days, and but these headphones are nothing but perfection. I have used high end corded headphones for a long time, and have always preferred Sennheiser. It is sufficient for my needs. Lastly, the 180's are as comfortable to wear as the 130's.

Well, it just has to be said. These are brilliant headphones in terms of undisturbed sound transmission and quality of sound.
